Nepali American Organization of Ohio (NAOO) would like to support a non-profit organization, Guthee, in its endeavor to raise fund for Nepal. For every ticket sale, $1 will go to NAOO’s fund. Please RSVP by buying the ticket online through this page clicking on “Buy” button below.
On August 20, the city of Akron will rock on to popular Nepali music. Top artists from Nepal such as Nima Rumba and Dilip Rayamajhi will perform Nepali music to entertain the audience. Local dancers and musical groups will also join the duo on stage during the event marked as Nima Rumba night.
This event is organized by the Guthee Foundation, also known as Guthee. It is a non-profit, charitable organization that functions through its strong network of volunteers based in Nepal and the USA. Guthee manages health, education and environmental preservation projects by mobilizing local communities and providing self-sustaining skills to the community members. Its major sources of funding include individual and organizational donors, fund-raising events, and the income generating projects in local communities.
The organizers expect more than 400 people to attend the event. This is the first fund-raising program that Guthee, or any other Nepali organization has planned in the Greater Northeast Ohio region. For more information, please visit Guthee’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/ guthee/home.
