NAOO organized a candlelight vigil on Saturday, 5/2/2015 at Wade Oval Park in Cleveland in memory of the victims and in honor of the survivors of Nepal earthquake and to reflect on the challenges ahead.
The event was attended by scores of Nepalese living in the greater Cleveland area as well as friends of Nepal.
At the event, the participants observed a moment of silence, lighted candle and sang patriotic song.
The loss of the lives and the suffering in Nepal was vivid in the eyes of everyone.
As the day gave its way to the dusk, the candlelight grew brighter symbolizing the better days ahead for our bereaved Nepal because we are all standing together in solidarity and the resolve to bring Nepal back to its glorious past. As the dusk gives its way to the night and you see sparkling stars, think of the lives that are no longer with us but smiling down upon us because in our unity, there is hope.
Let’s continue to work together to keep the hope alive.
