Nepali American Organization of Ohio (NAOO) organized its first Mic & Momo fundraising program in Akron, Ohio on September 16, 2017. During this first of a kind event, NAOO members and volunteers served special Nepali dumplings to the guests for their monetary contribution. Renowned musical talents from Nepali and Bhutani communities entertained the guests with Nepali melodies.

Mic & Momo event was organized to assist Nepal Journey, a 501(c)(3) organization, based in Texas, and its commitment to help the flood victims in Southern Nepal. More than 100 guests attended this event. NAOO collected $7329.00 during this event and after deducting all the expenses, the NAOO executive committee handed a check of 5685.00 to Nepal Journey representative Mr. Sunil Pradhan.

NAOO Executive Committee sincerely thanks all the members, volunteers, guests and the musician for contributing towards this great cause. NAOO will organize such events in the future to help the victims of natural disasters in Nepal and around the world.
